Best Tech Sales Companies To Work For In 2023
One of the most common reasons why so many people want to get into tech sales is the high earning potential, but there’s more to consider than just money when it comes to choosing your career, which is why we put together this list of the best tech sales companies to work for.
Especially in the era of the Great Resignation and “quiet quitting,” employees have higher standards than ever before in terms of work-life balance, company culture, and actually enjoying their day-to-day work.
And being a salesperson in the tech industry isn’t easy. You face a lot of rejection and you have to work hard to hit your quota. So it’s no surprise that annual turnover among salespeople is 27%, which is twice the rate in the overall labor force.
On top of the job already having a high baseline level of difficulty, if you also work for a company with no work-life balance and a toxic culture, your quality of life will suffer.
If money is the only thing you care about when it comes to your job, then you don’t need to read any further. ✋ Instead, read this other post about the highest-paying tech sales jobs.
But who says you can’t do both? Of course you want to make a lot of money (me too!). But you want to enjoy your life too. And you shouldn’t have to sacrifice one for the other. You can do both!

Where we got our data
The best dataset we found is published by a company called Bravado. It’s the best because (1) it focuses specifically on tech sales companies, and (2) it combines data on compensation with data on quota attainment, quota fairness, and work-life balance.
We’ve also included data from two of the most widely-respected publications on best workplaces by Glassdoor and Fortune.
The Glassdoor publication includes non-tech companies, but we filtered the data and only include tech companies in the tables below.
The Fortune publication is slightly outdated (published in 2022 instead of 2023), but it does have a subsection of the publication specifically for tech companies.
Neither the Glassdoor nor the Fortune publication specifies that the tech companies in their lists have sales roles, but it’s safe to assume that most of them do, thus making them “tech sales” companies.
“Best Companies for Tech Sales 2023” by Bravado
There was a company called CompGauge that “provides the most comprehensive salary data, company reviews, and interview insights for tech sales careers.” In May 2022, CompGauge was acquired by Bravado. It appears that all of the CompGauge data is in the process of being migrated over to the Bravado website.
In any case, CompGauge/Bravado has gathered data via submissions from thousands of tech salespeople.
“CompGauge provides compensation data for every Tech Sales role including Sales Development Representatives, Inside Sales Reps, Field Sales Reps, SDR Managers, Inside Sales Managers, Field Sales Managers, VP of Sales, and Sales Engineers.”
“We provide only Tech Sales Data. This includes SaaS, software, software licenses, tech hardware, channel & partner tech sales, servers, networking, (X)aaS etc.”
On the Bravado website, there is a page for the “Best Companies for Tech Sales 2023,” which ranks tech sales companies by compensation, quota attainment, quota fairness, and work-life balance.

“Best Places to Work in 2023” by Glassdoor
Glassdoor published “Best Places to Work in 2023,” which is based on ratings that employees submit when filling out a company review on Glassdoor.
The ratings include nine workplace attributes: overall company rating, career opportunities, compensation and benefits, culture and values, diversity and inclusion, senior management, work-life balance, recommend to a friend, and six-month business outlook. More details on the criteria to make the list can be found here.
The only downside of the list published by Glassdoor is that you can’t sort it by industry. But not to worry! We went through the list and manually filtered it down to just tech companies, and we’ve only included tech companies in the tables below.
