Enroll in our tech sales courses!

There are a lot of tech sales courses out there and it’s hard to know if any of them are worth the money, so let’s start by answering this question …

Are tech sales courses worth it?

First of all, you don’t have to take a tech sales course to get into tech sales.

In other words, it’s possible to get a job in tech sales without going through one of these courses or bootcamps.

That being said, it’s not easy to get into tech sales if you don’t know what you’re doing.

For example, do you know where to find tech sales job postings? Do you know the most common entry-level tech sales job titles to search for? Do you know how to answer when the interviewer asks you to pitch their product?

Tech sales courses teach you the basics of tech sales and they also teach you the tips and tricks to get a job in tech sales.

All in all, you’ll probably get more/better job offers if you take a course than if you don’t.

If you want to know more of my thoughts on whether courses/bootcamps are worth it, read this post or watch this video:

Now let’s go through some options for tech sales courses …

Tech sales courses

Free video

If you’re like me, you like to do things on your own and you don’t like spending money when you don’t have to.

Which is exactly why I made this video:

In exactly 7 minutes and 46 seconds, I cover the bare minimum of what you need to know to get into tech sales.

So you can at least get a head start if you want to go the route of getting a tech sales job on your own.

Our course: $20

Some tech sales courses included way more info than what’s necessary to get a job in tech sales.

They teach you how to actually do the job, e.g., how to sell, how to use CRM software, etc.

This is overkill in my opinion.

You don’t need to know how to do the job in order to get the job.

Most tech companies have sales training programs and they’ll teach you everything you need to know on the job. And you’ll get paid while you learn!

That’s why our tech sales course is all about how to get the job.

Here’s what we cover in the course:

  • Lists of the best tech sales companies
  • Explanations of tech sales job titles
  • How much money you can make in tech sales
  • Resume and cover letter templates
  • How to message recruiters directly
  • The best websites for tech sales jobs
  • LinkedIn application strategies
  • Tech sales interview questions and how to answer them
  • How to negotiate for a better offer

Conclusion

Like we said at the beginning, you don’t have to take a tech sales course to get into tech sales.

But it’s definitely better than having to go through the whole tech sales job search process on your own.

Especially if you can find an affordable option.

If you consider that you can make six figures in your first year in tech sales, enrolling in a tech sales course seems like a pretty good investment.
